Built for repeat invoices

A freelancer rarely sends one invoice. The tool keeps what stays the same between them.

Your own details, your clients and your last invoice are kept in your browser's storage. Open the page next month, bump the invoice number and the dates, and the rest is already there. Seller and buyer lists can be exported to a file and imported on another computer.

What to put on a freelance invoice

Clients pay faster when the invoice answers their questions before they ask:

  • A unique invoice number and the issue date
  • Your name, address and email, and the client's
  • One line per deliverable or per block of hours
  • The period the work covers
  • The due date and the total
  • How to pay: bank details, a payment link or a QR code

Ready to try it?

The form opens with an empty invoice. Fill it in and download the PDF. No account needed.

Clients abroad

Freelance work crosses borders more often than most small businesses do.

Currency and language are separate settings. Bill a German client in euros with German labels, or a US client in dollars in English, from the same saved profile. All 122 currencies keep their own symbol and number format.

A link instead of an attachment

Share a link to the finished invoice and the client opens the same PDF you see.

The invoice data is compressed into the link itself, so there is no copy of it on a server. Anyone with the link can view and download the PDF.

Create a freelance invoice

Four steps, and nothing to install:

  • Open the generator and fill in your details once
  • Pick the client's currency and invoice language
  • Add your line items, watching the preview update
  • Download the PDF, or send your client a link to it

FAQ

Is the freelance invoice template really free?

Yes. There is no paid plan, no watermark and no limit on invoices. The source code is on GitHub under AGPL-3.0.

Can I bill a client in another currency?

Yes. Pick any of the 122 currencies. The invoice language is a separate setting, so English labels work with euros, pounds or rupees.

Does it work as a consulting invoice template?

Yes. Consulting invoices have the same parts: a line per engagement or block of hours, a service period, payment terms and a total.

Where are my invoices stored?

In your own browser's storage. Nothing is uploaded, so clearing your browser data removes them. Download the PDFs you need to keep.

Can it track whether a client paid?

No. It produces the invoice PDF and nothing more. Payment tracking and reminders belong to accounting software.
